Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the OyraCam iOS application ("App", "OyraCam", "we", "us" or "our") and this website. By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. The service

OyraCam lets you apply AI-powered filters to photos you provide. When you apply a filter, your image is sent to our servers and processed by trusted third-party AI providers, and the transformed result is returned to your device. See our Privacy Policy for how your data is handled.

The service depends on third-party AI providers and network availability. We provide the App on an "as is" and "as available" basis and do not guarantee that any particular filter, style, or result will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

3. Eligibility and your content

You must be old enough to form a binding agreement in your country to use the App. You are solely responsible for the images you submit.

By using the App, you represent and warrant that:

  • you own the images you submit or have all necessary rights and permissions to use and process them; and
  • your images and your use of the App do not violate any law or infringe the rights of any third party.

4. Acceptable use

You agree that you will not:

  • use the App to create, upload, or process content that is illegal, abusive, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or that infringes the rights of others;
  • use bots, scripts, automation, or any other means to access the service in an automated or high-volume manner;
  • attempt to resell, redistribute, or build a competing service on top of the App or our processing pipeline;
  • circumvent, disable, or interfere with any limits, security, or rate-control mechanisms of the App; or
  • otherwise use the App in a way that places an unreasonable or disproportionate load on our infrastructure or that of our AI providers.

5. Fair use and processing limits

OyraCam is intended for normal, personal use. Because every filter is processed by paid third-party AI services, unlimited or excessive use is not sustainable and may harm the experience for other users.

Accordingly, we reserve the right, at our sole and reasonable discretion and without prior notice, to limit, throttle, queue, suspend, or otherwise restrict your access to processing — including the number of images you can process within a given period — where we believe, in good faith, that your usage:

  • is excessive, unusually high-volume, or inconsistent with normal personal use;
  • is automated, scripted, or generated by anything other than genuine manual use of the App;
  • places a disproportionate load on, or generates disproportionate cost from, our servers or our third-party AI providers; or
  • abuses, or attempts to abuse, the service in any way.

We may apply these limits on a per-user, per-device, or per-account basis. We do not commit to any specific fixed number of images, and the thresholds we consider reasonable may change over time as costs, capacity, and usage patterns evolve. Where practical, we will aim to apply such limits proportionately and to restore normal access once the abusive or excessive usage stops.

6. Intellectual property

The App, including its design, software, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.

As between you and us, you retain your rights in the original photos you submit. You are responsible for how you use the results you generate, and you should review the terms of any platform on which you share them.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App, in whole or in part, at any time if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, or where we reasonably need to protect the App, our users, or our providers. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App or any results it produces. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
